FUERA AIRLINE BRAND
Brand identity • Mobile web app • Logo design
The challenge was to create a brand for a new Argentinian airline, whose users care passionately about their families, their communities, and their country. These voices of Argentina inspired the direction of this vibrant, passionate airline concept.
Project Overview
Developing a brand identity for a new airline was a concept project. The goals of the new company were to stand out from the many blue sky themed Argentinian airlines. The brief was to craft an identity including a brand name, accompanying logo, look & feel, a mobile web app for bookings, and branding collateral.
My Contributions
As a Graphic Designer, I started with target audience and competitor research to hone in on the user personas I was designing for. Argentinians can be very outspoken in their passion for their community, including at demonstrations, whose powerful protest signs inspired the concept for this brand. After crafting the Fuera logo, I designed the mobile web app. The most frequently used features in the user journey are brought to the forefront in a scrollable one-pager, with distinct sections identified through use of typography, color, shape and imagery. I used Photoshop to give the photography a warm, retro feeling, and built depth using layers of information, including traditional-inspired patterns created in Illustrator. I conducted task based user testing with Figma to validate the prototype. I expanded the design system to include marketing materials, and the airline's digital design needs, e.g. mobile boarding pass.
